Sign a PDF document
Draw, type or upload a signature and place it anywhere on a PDF — drag to move it, drag a corner to resize it. Contracts and agreements are exactly the kind of document that shouldn't need to be uploaded anywhere to sign.

How to Sign PDF
- Add your PDF. Drag the file onto the drop zone.
- Create a signature. Draw one with your mouse or trackpad, type your name in a handwriting-style font, or upload a photo of your signature.
- Place it on the page. Click the page where the signature should go, then drag or resize it into position.
- Save the signed PDF. Download the file with the signature baked directly into the page.
What actually gets added to the PDF
A placed signature is embedded as an image on top of the page — the same technique used for a stamp or a logo. Everything else about the document, including its existing text and layout, stays exactly as it was; only the area under the signature changes.
This is not a cryptographic digital signature (the kind that verifies a document hasn't been altered since signing) — it's a visual signature, the same kind you'd add with a pen on a printed page. For most everyday paperwork — forms, letters, informal agreements — that's exactly what's needed.
Multiple signatures and multiple pages
You can place the same saved signature on as many pages as needed, and create several different signatures — for example one for yourself and one for a co-signer — and keep them all available in the saved-signatures panel while you work through the document.
Frequently asked questions
Is this a legally binding electronic signature?
It's a visual signature — a drawn, typed or uploaded mark placed on the page, similar to signing a printout by hand. It is not a cryptographically verified digital signature. Whether that's sufficient depends on the document and jurisdiction; for anything with significant legal weight, check what your specific situation requires.
Can I move or resize a signature after placing it?
Yes — drag the body to move it, or drag any corner handle to resize it while keeping its proportions. Hover over a placed signature to see the handles.
Can I remove a signature I placed by mistake?
Yes, hover over it and click the small × button, or use Undo to remove the most recently placed one.
Does the drawn signature look jagged?
It's captured at your screen's actual pixel density, so it should look smooth. Drawing slowly with a mouse tends to look better than a fast trackpad swipe.
What image formats can I upload as a signature?
Any common image format — PNG, JPEG, HEIC exports, and so on. A signature on a plain white or transparent background works best; a photo with visible paper texture will carry that texture into the PDF.
Is my document uploaded anywhere?
No. Rendering the pages, placing the signature and saving the result all happen locally in your browser — the file never leaves your device.
